Good luck to the MS Track team today as they compete at Pleasants.

We have officially wrapped up our March Madness Math competition at TCMS. Congratulations to Mrs. Wright's 7/8 period block for winning the ALEKS Math tournament. Her class will be rewarded with pizza, ice cream, and a movie. Pictured are all the individual classroom winners from each math class. These students completed the most ALEKS topics in their class! Each winner received a $25 Amazon gift card. Congratulations to Xavier Kanz, who completed 340 total ALEKS topics during the competition! He received a $50 Amazon gift card for being the top performer in the whole school. All of our students worked extremely hard during the tournament to get some extra practice in before state testing!

Good luck to the MS Softball team today as they host a Double Header with Ritchie County beginning at 6pm.

After-School Tutoring information for this week:

Raelyn Starkey, 6th grader, completed her ALEKS pie for Mrs. Wright's math class! This takes a lot of dedication, effort and time and is not a requirement for class. Congrats to Raelyn for your hard work outside of school and dedication to achieving your goals!

Students in Mrs. Wright’s STEAM elective class, with the help of Mrs. Gilbert & her high school students, made slime!

Good luck to the MS Track team today as they compete in a home meet.

TCMS BAND PARENTS/GUARDIANS: The remaining band students who are returning from the trip (6th grade and percussion) will be arriving back at the school in about 20 minutes.

Congratulations to the TCMS Bands for fantastic performances at the 77th Annual Region I State Band Festival today!
The 7th and 8th grade band received all “Superior” ratings from all three judges. In addition, they were awarded all A’s in every subcategory from all the judges as well. These subcategories include tone, intonation, ensemble effect, interpretation, and technique.
The 6th Grade Band received all superior ratings as well and almost all A’s in every subcategory. It is very uncommon for a 6th graders to participate in band festival as it is extremely challenging for that age of instrumentalists to attain the level of musicianship that is desired to perform at such a high level.
We are so proud of all our Tyler Consolidated Bands; it’s been a great two days for the program!

Attention 8th grade: TCHS cheer will be holding an interest meeting on April 26 during 9th period. Anyone interested in cheering during their freshman year can sign up at this meeting to receive more information for summer conditioning and fall tryouts.

Tuesday, April 18: After-School Tutoring this evening is cancelled.

Congratulations to our new Tyler Consolidated Middle School NJHS members. 21 students were inducted this afternoon. #KnightsPride
