Congratulations to the TCMS Bands for fantastic performances at the 77th Annual Region I State Band Festival today! The 7th and 8th grade band received all “Superior” ratings from all three judges. In addition, they were awarded all A’s in every subcategory from all the judges as well. These subcategories include tone, intonation, ensemble effect, interpretation, and technique. The 6th Grade Band received all superior ratings as well and almost all A’s in every subcategory. It is very uncommon for a 6th graders to participate in band festival as it is extremely challenging for that age of instrumentalists to attain the level of musicianship that is desired to perform at such a high level. We are so proud of all our Tyler Consolidated Bands; it’s been a great two days for the program!
