Attention TCMS athletes and parents: our athletic boosters will be hosting our first all-sports banquet!
Today, our 8th grade class went on the annual Kennywood trip! This is a trip that our students look forward to starting in the 6th grade. Just a few weeks before they officially become high school students!
The 7th grade students had a field trip to The Wilds today. They learned about why conservation is important and details about each different species of animal they saw. For example, most of the endangered animals are found only at The Wilds because they are extinct in the wild. Students saw painted dogs, dholes, cheetahs, takins, rhinos, camels, Pere' David's deer, and many more animals. However, due to the cool temperature animals such as the giraffes and ostriches were not able to come outside for us to observe on the safari tour. The tour guides complimented our staff and students on their behavior during the visit. Many thanks to Tyler County Schools for funding this experience for our students and to The Wilds for such a wonderful trip.
The TCMS jazz band performed last night. This was the first year the middle school has had a jazz band. The ensemble did a fantastic job! Jazz Band was a huge success this year. Mr. Jennings is very proud of your performance and the huge improvement this group made this year. way to go, everyone!
