Students in Mrs. T Paden's science class had an exciting hands-on learning experience as they dissected owl pellets to explore food chains and ecosystems! By examining the remains of an owl’s diet, they discovered how predators, prey, and the environment are all connected. It was a fascinating way to bring science to life and spark curiosity about the natural world!

What an accomplishment! The following students have completed the entire iReady math program! This indicates that they are achieving beyond the 8th grade level and we couldn’t be more proud of their hard work!

We are so grateful for the wonderful experience our 7th grade students in Ms. Cooper's class had at Disney on Ice last Friday at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center! Their energy was contagious as they sang along to their favorite songs and enjoyed a delicious lunch together. It's moments like these that create lasting memories and reinforce the joy of learning and connection. Thank you to everyone who made this opportunity possible!

Stay up to date with Tyler Consolidated events using the TC Schools app and website. This video gives a quick overview of how to navigate the Events section on both platforms.

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):
On March 5, 2018, the West Virginia Legislature passed House Bill 4402 which requires that children in grades K-12 receive age-appropriate body safety education. The goal of body safety education is to educate and empower West Virginia public school children. In accordance with W. Va. Code §18-2-41, your child will be provided body safety education.
It is recognized that the basic responsibility for the teaching of body safety education belongs in the home with the support of the school and other community agencies to strengthen the efforts of the parent(s)/guardian(s). The Child Advocacy Center and the WV State Police will be providing a presentation on February 6, 2025.
You are encouraged to continue to be involved in the discussions which promote body safety education.

Reminder: No School for TCMS Students ONLY this Friday, February 7th.

TCMS JAZZ BAND FINISHES 2ND IN THE STATE!
In only its third year of existence, the TCMS Jazz Band finished as State Runners-Up in the West Virginia Middle School Jazz Finalist Competition. The winner was Suncrest Middle School in Morgantown, who will perform at the State Music Conference in March as a result of their achievement.
Recordings of three tunes were submitted on Friday, January 31st and the band was scored out of 100 points in a number of categories by three judges. Although two of the judges actually scored TCMS higher than the winner, the combined scores narrowly put Suncrest Middle on top by three points.
The TCMS Jazz Band received many compliments on the excellence of their performance and are to be commended for this remarkable achievement.
The TCMS Band had eight students who made the Region I Middle School Honor Band through a rigorous video audition process. Unfortunately, the event (which would have been held at Wheeling Park High School on January 18th) was cancelled due to inclement weather. These students are: Ty Camerlin (2nd Chair Trumpet), Chloe Kinsey (4th Chair Clarinet), Jennifer Haught (8th Chair Clarinet), Emma Cooper (1st Chair Alto Saxophone), Kaylee Cottrell (2nd Chair Flute), Abigail Jacenkiw (5th Chair Alto Saxophone), Michael Cooper (1st Chair Trombone), and Connor Sutton (2nd Chair Trombone).
