Today, we rewarded our students who have met expectations in attendance, academics, and behavior so far this school year with a trip to the Wheeling Nailers School Day Game. Mrs. Moore’s advisory class, winners of our Attendance Madness competition, had the honor of holding the American Flag on the ice during the National Anthem, while Mr. Maiden’s advisory class, the runners-up, got to high-five the players in the tunnel as they took the ice. It was a great day recognizing our students’ hard work and commitment.
Thank you to the Tyler County Schools Board Office and Board of Education for purchasing the tickets to make this possible! We are looking forward to going back again next year! #KnightsPride

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming author and former middle school teacher, Brian Croasmun, to TCMS! He joined our ELA classrooms to teach an engaging lesson on crafting effective narratives. Our students gained valuable insights from his expertise, and we’re grateful for his time and dedication. Thank you, Mr. Croasmun, for inspiring our young writers today!

Today, our eighth-grade students had an incredible experience at the Challenger Learning Center at Wheeling University. They took part in Operation Comet, where they worked together to solve the challenging task of stopping fragments of a broken comet from heading toward Earth. It was inspiring to see their collaboration and problem-solving skills as they navigated roles between the spacecraft and mission control room.
Both of our mission groups performed exceptionally well, demonstrating teamwork and dedication throughout the simulation. Their efforts were rewarded with the Stellar Mission award, highlighting their commitment to the task and to each other. This field trip provided our students with a unique opportunity to learn in an immersive environment, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they rose to the challenge. #OperationComet #KnightsPride
